ABOUT

Judi Hulme
Judi grew up skiing in Lander, WY and raced in high school when classic skiing was the only option. After high school, she took a 10-year break from the sport and settled in Laramie, WY. She took up skiing again and attended several master-level ski clinics and learned how to skate ski and started racing. In the early 2000’s, Judi started teaching cross country skiing and has conducted adult group and private lessons in both skate and classic at all levels for the Medicine Bow Nordic Association at the Happy Jack trails near Laramie.
Along with participating in many local races in Wyoming and Colorado, she has finished the American Birkebeiner five times, starting out of the elite wave and achieving age group placement in both skate and classic disciplines. She has competed in Master’s World Cup Cross Country Skiing Championships four times in various locations in the US and abroad.
Judi retired in 2022 from a long career at the University of Wyoming and along with skiing she enjoys biking, hiking, strength training and teaching group strength and fitness classes.
