The 7th Annual Steamboat Nordic Ski Camp NOTICE: Both days we will be skiing at the Steamboat Ski Touring Center (Not Catamount)
Presented by: In partnership with Lake Catamount Touring Center, Steamboat Ski Touring Center, Steamboat Springs Nordic Council, Fischer, Swix, Salomon, Atomic, Rossignol, Honeystinger, Gu20, BAP and Sports Med Register at Active.com after September 1. This is a great way to kick-off your ski season with the area’s top coaches helping you improve your skills. This camp is open to all ability levels: true beginner to advanced, there is something for everyone. Whether your goal is simply to learn to XC ski or to improve your race results in a competitive race, this is a camp for you. In order to meet skiers needs/desires, clinic groups will be divided by ability and group size will be small (you can expect 6 or less skiers to 1 coach). Skiers can choose clinics in Skating or Classic techniques, or both (we encourage skiers to clinic in both techniques). 2008/2009 demo equipment will be available for participants to try throughout the weekend. Try before you buy Fischer, Salomon, Swix, Atomic, Rossignol, Toko and Craft industry representatives will be on site with all new 2009/2010 demo equipment (skis, boots, poles) waxes and clothing for you to try for yourself. This is an excellent opportunity to try the equipment and learn about products before you purchase. On snow video analysis will be included. Video analysis is one of the best tools for improving technique and overall efficiency in your skiing. Last but not least skiers can look forward to hearty lunches, a fun and festive happy hour on Saturday afternoon and prize drawings both days. Preparation for Camp Weekend A few things to think about before arriving at camp...
Testimonials “The one-on-one feedback from coaches makes such a difference” “The coach to skier ratio (5:1 in my case) made the coaching very personalized” “I liked the small size of the groups – able to focus specifically on each skier’s needs” “Our coaches were patient, helpful and fun. I’ll be back next year” “I appreciated the Ski Reps being available to provide demo gear and information about it” “Both ski venues were beautiful – kudos to the groomers” “It was very insightful to have my coach give me advice, I believed I was doing exactly what she asked, and then to see myself on the video making the same error she was trying to point out to me! The video pulled their pointers into reality.”
